Dear Friend of the Habersham County Pickleball Club,

 

We want to let you know of an exciting opportunity to advertise and promote your business, while helping us achieve our Club’s goals. Did you know?  Pickleball is the fastest-growing racquet/paddle sport in America!  And amidst this phenomenal growth, we at the Club are working hard to expand our outreach and achieve our goals. As you know, we aim to foster the growth of pickleball in our community and thereby provide abundant opportunities for social and physical activity.  

 

Hosting fund-raising events is how the Club—a non-profit corporation—can achieve these goals. We make donations to local charities and to our Parks and Recreation Department, for the benefit of all residents and participants.

 

Our 2024 event donation recipients included:

• Donations to the Aspiring Sporting Chance Organization, the Habersham County Chamber of Commerce for the Small Business 101 course, and CASA

• Two AED devices for the Habersham County Emergency Services Department

• Gate opening to the covered bleachers at the Pickleball Complex

• Toy and cash donations to the annual Kiwanis Toy Drive

Our ambitious 2025 projects include:

• Donations to Circle of Hope, Habersham County Chamber of Commerce for the GA Flex Program, Meals on Wheels and the Soup Kitchen.

• An additional AED to the Habersham County Emergency Services Department

 

An opportunity to advertise and promote your business will be a major event, held on May 2nd  and 3rd —when we host our third annual pickleball tournament, with the catchy title of PickleSham Palooza. Having dedicated permanent courts allows us to host regional tournaments, bringing players and tourists from within Georgia and surrounding states to our community. The 2024 tournament brought over 165 players and many spectators from thirty-six cities outside of Habersham County and 5 states.

 

Participating in the 2-day tournament will be 150+ players, plus volunteers and spectators—from around Georgia and beyond. It will feature women’s and men’s doubles, and mixed doubles with different skill and age levels available.

 

A portion of the registration proceeds and sponsorships for this tournament will be donated to The Habersham County Chamber of Commerce’s GA FLEX (Foundational Leadership and Entrepreneurship Experience) program which provides the opportunity for high school students to experience the world of business through entrepreneurship. Additional proceeds will be donated to the the Circle of Hope which is a private, non-profit, 501(c)3 multi-faceted domestic violence agency whose mission is to support, empower and bring hope to those affected by domestic violence.
