NOT THE MOST EXCITING OPENING BUT IMPORTANT.
Let's talk about water. As in hydration. Best as I can determine, in these high temperature and high humidity conditions, you can expect to lose 2-3 pounds of water weight in a two hour pickleball session. (Sorry, not a diet as the weight will return by the end of the day.)
Danger signs while playing include light headedness, dizziness, blurry vision, headache and excessive sweating. if you feel any of these - STOP playing and sit out for a bit. To prevent heat injuries drink 7-10 oz. between games. If possible, drink 2 quarts of liquid throughout the day prior to exertion. Best fruits for water content; watermelon, banana, coconut and cantaloupe.
HAVE FUN ... PLAY HARD... STAY HEALTHY...drink drink drink.
RULES CLUES: A fault (and resulting dead ball will be declared if: 7.H. After the serve, the ball contacts a player or anything the player is wearing or carrying, except the paddle or the player’s hand(s) in contact with the paddle and below the wrist. If the player is in the process of changing hands with both hands on the paddle or is attempting a two-handed stroke and either hand is hit below the wrist, as long as a player’s hand is in contact with the paddle, the ball is still in play. The fault is on the player who was hit by the ball.

SEEKING THREE NEW BOARD MEMBERS
Three members are rotating off the Board. We are an organization whose membership now exceeds 400. That takes some time, effort and commitment and WE NEED YOU. Let's turn ideas and complaints into solutions. We are particularly seeking new members willing and able to take on specific responsibilities. Let any member know you are interested, and we will discuss or just sit in on a meeting and judge for yourself. Next meeting schedule is listed below.

Beginner and Introductory Group Quarterly Sign-up JULY 1
Each group will require a new sign up quarterly to give opportunity to new players to get involved. Even if you participated last session, it will be necessary to do so for each group. A notification will be sent shortly for enrollment, so be on the lookout.
The previous formal drill groups will not be offered this Quarter. There will, however, be a beginner drill group option and an opportunity to partner with more advanced players as a "level up" opportunity.
