GREETINGS Pickle y'allers.
THANK YOU volunteers and organizers.
THANK YOU sponsors.
THANK YOU participants.
Your time, commitment, and support have created our third successful tournament. It isn't an exaggeration to say, "it couldn't have happened without you". The planning, promotion, registration, bracket set up, court managing, results tracking, medal determination, sponsor solicitation, court preparation, sign hanging and clean up, etc. pale in comparison to the magic of moving from outside to inside, back to outside, and then inside again for the finale. Come on now, y'all. That ain't nuthin! It's sumthin'.
RULES CLUES: 6.C.9. While the ball is in the air, if a player yells "out", "no", or "bounce it", or any words to communicate to their partner that the ball may be out, it shall be considered player communication only and not considered a line call.
6.C.10. An "out" call made after the ball bounces is a line call. The ball is dead and play shall stop. Please note there are specific methods proscribed for "appealing" "out" calls. (Hint: asking spectators is not among them).

For the statisticians among us, PICKLESHAM PALOOZA #3 drew 159 players contesting 283 matches throughout. Ages ranged from14 - 87 representing seven states and 36 Georgia cities outside of Habersham County. Financial donations from the proceeds were made to Habersham Chamber of Commerce FLEX Program and Circle of Hope. If you are keeping track, since December 2021, we have given over $42,000 to the community and Parks and Recreation Department. Good on US.

COURT ROTATION. OK! All sets of courts (2 inside and 1 outside) have the same rotation pattern during REC PLAY. At the completion of your game (before you add your group's paddles to the line), if there are 6 or fewer paddles waiting, the winners stay and split and the first two paddles in line are the next 2 players in. If there are 7 or more in line, all four players leave the court and 4 next in line take the court. If you wish to stack paddles to play together (i.e. when prepping for a tournament) paddles are stacked on the paddle FURTHEST from the front. WE good?
